Refunds, Returns & Credit Policy
General Policy
All rentals from The Rental Closet are non-refundable.
By placing an order, you acknowledge and agree that refunds are issued as credit notes only, except in the limited circumstances outlined below.
Credit Notes

Credit notes are valid for 6 months from the date of issue.

Credit notes are non-transferable and may be used toward any future rental, subject to availability.

No cash alternative will be provided for unused or partially used credit notes.
Exceptions Where a Refund or Credit Applies
1. Item Arrives Late
If your rental item arrives after the agreed delivery date due to postal delay and is no longer usable for your event:

You must notify us within 24 hours of the expected delivery date.

A credit note or refund will be issued at our discretion, depending on circumstances.
2. Item Arrives Damaged
If your item arrives with damage that prevents it from being worn:

You must notify us within 24 hours of receipt, with clear photographic evidence.

Do not attempt to wear, repair, or clean the item.

Upon verification, a credit note or refund will be issued.
Fit-Related Returns
We understand that fit can vary.

If the item does not fit, it must be:

Returned within 24 hours of delivery

Unworn, unaltered, and in its original condition

Once received and inspected, a credit note will be issued.

No refunds are provided for fit issues.
Non-Refundable Circumstances
No refund or credit will be issued for:

Change of mind

Event cancellation or date change

Failure to collect or accept delivery

Late return of the item

Minor fit preferences (e.g. length, style, personal comfort)

Damage caused during wear

All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or arrived late.

We reserve the right to refuse a refund or credit if the item shows signs of wear, alteration, or misuse.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
